After watching the film on the 26th, I was a little disappointed.

First of all there weren't a lot of people who came to watch Dayo. Most of the people who watched were kids with their parents.
I asked some kids after watching the film and they said that they enjoyed it. When I asked for the opinion of the parents, they were like "It was Ok. It's for kids anyway".
Their reactions were not the same after they have watched a Disney Pixar movie. I was so sad.

It was not that bad, it just does not blend well together.
The background was very well done and so as the animation but when you put them together they are not....blending well, for reasons maybe in the future I will understand since I am still not familiar with the technical terms used in animation.
Although Michael V. did a very comical portrayal of Narsi the tikbalang. Just thinking about it now makes me laugh so hard.. there was a scene there where he said "My mane! My mane!" in very rock enroll way.
I am still relieved that although there weren't many of an audience for Dayo and Baler (another film entry to the Metro Manila film festival 2008) took home most of the big awards, Dayo still won 4 awards.

Wah! it was such a bummer because of the advertising during the film! Gar!

Overall the film was a good start for the animation industry. I hope that Filipino artist continue to strive more to promote our very own animation and I hope Filipinos will watch future animation films
